About Caprock Foundation
The Caprock Foundation was established by Marciano and Martha Morales, founders of Caprock Home Health Services, Inc., as a way to give back to the local communities that have supported their business over the years.
The renowned Caprock Foundation Gala, formally known as Gala Latina, is a local non-profit fundraising event founded in 2009 and powered by volunteers. It promotes and supports charitable organizations in Lubbock and surrounding counties.
Each year, the Caprock Foundation Gala distributes proceeds to charity-based organizations that align with its mission. The Foundation’s sole purpose is to enhance and support programs that provide services in key areas such as social services (children and family services, early childhood development, parenting education), health (programs that promote the well-being of children and improve access to health services), education, and community development (community improvement, youth development).
Additionally, each year, the Caprock Foundation Gala selects and highlights a local charitable organization to raise awareness of its services.
Caprock Foundation Scholarships
In addition to supporting local charitable organizations, the Caprock Foundation is committed to enhancing educational opportunities for students in the community. Through its university scholarship program, the Foundation helps local students pursue higher education by easing the financial burden of tuition and related expenses.
The scholarship program is part of the Foundation’s broader mission to support education as a critical component of community development. By investing in the academic futures of young people, the Caprock Foundation aims to empower the next generation of leaders, fostering long-term growth and success for Lubbock and the surrounding areas.
Each year, selected students are awarded scholarships based on academic merit, community involvement, and financial need. These scholarships are a vital part of the Foundation’s efforts to uplift the community through education.
